What happened

Sovol’s September comparison outlines two versions of the M1D. Both use the DualX approach: one fixed toolhead paired with six swappable tools, allowing combinations of colors and materials without routing every change through one nozzle.

Essential uses an open configuration, while Advanced adds an enclosure and chamber heating rated up to 60°C. The shared nominal single-tool build area is 300 × 300 × 350 mm; the area available to all seven tools is smaller.

The machine is listed for preorder at the time of this editorial update. The comparison is useful for understanding intended configurations, but it is not evidence that every version has already reached customers. Material needs should drive the choice of chamber configuration.
