What happened

Lithoz announced three material upgrades ahead of ceramitec 2026. The new alumina, zirconia and alumina-toughened zirconia variants were developed with serial production in mind.

The announcement identifies a medical-grade ATZ option and highlights aluminum-nitride cooling components for semiconductor applications. It also previews the CeraFab S320’s larger build platform.

These developments connect material choice with production scale and application requirements. A medical-grade material designation does not, on its own, establish approval for a finished medical device.
