Wolf Ranch begins a 100-home construction-printing project
ICON, Lennar and BIG moved printed housing toward a neighborhood-scale building program.
What happened
ICON and Lennar announced in November 2022 that work was underway on a 100-home community at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown, Texas. BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group collaborated on the home designs.
The announcement described a building program combining construction robotics, software and specialized materials. It was a start-of-construction milestone, with reservations planned for the following year.
A printed-home project still includes other building systems and trades. The announcement should not be interpreted as a claim that a printer alone produced every part of a finished house, or as a completion report.
