What happened

Formlabs announced Flexible 80A Resin V2 in June 2026. The single-part elastomeric resin is intended for applications such as seals, enclosures and tooling where compliance and recovery matter.

Compared with the previous version, Formlabs reports higher rebound, tear strength and elongation at break. These are manufacturer comparisons between formulations, rather than a promise that every print matches every cast urethane.

The release highlights both mechanical performance and improved surface appearance. Application testing remains important because geometry, loading and aging influence how a flexible component behaves.
