What happened

Farsoon introduced FS1311M-U in March as a large-format metal powder-bed platform. Its specified build volume is 1,310 × 1,310 × 1,650 mm, intended for large components and batches of smaller parts.

The machine uses sixteen lasers with optional beam shaping. Farsoon also describes recoating monitoring, coordinated airflow and a closed-loop powder system to support long builds.

A three-station layout allows some operations to run in parallel, addressing time spent outside the actual exposure process. The company’s maximum build-rate figures apply to stated material and layer conditions; they should not be treated as a universal production rate across alloys and geometries.
