Bambu Lab’s X2D puts a second nozzle to work on supports
The X Series addition combines dual extrusion with active chamber heating.

What happened
Bambu Lab launched the X2D in April 2026 with mechanically switched dual nozzles. The main nozzle prints the model while an auxiliary nozzle can supply a different support material.
The announcement specifies a nozzle temperature up to 300°C and active chamber heating to 65°C. It lists different usable print areas for the main nozzle, auxiliary nozzle and their shared working region.
The design targets easier support removal and broader material workflows. These are launch specifications and manufacturer positioning; the result still depends on the model, material pairing and print settings.
