What happened

UltiMaker’s Cura 5.14 beta introduces Support Painting, allowing users to mark areas where supports should be added, avoided or generated automatically. The release remains identified as a beta in the announcement.

Other changes include tabbed settings, revised tree-support controls and separate preview colors for bridges and overhangs. These additions help users inspect how a model will be supported before committing material and machine time.

The update also includes native Windows on ARM builds and fixes for complex geometry and post-processing scripts. As with any beta, its new controls are best assessed on representative projects before replacing an established production setup.
