Stratasys and Limbitless Solutions announced an expansion of their 12-year collaboration. The University of Central Florida nonprofit uses printing in the development and production of assistive devices for children.
Applications include end-use components, molds for cosmetic elements and prototypes developed before injection molding. The partners report that the collaboration has supported hundreds of prosthetic devices.
The latest support includes a certified pre-owned F370 printer for operations, education and outreach. The story combines practical medical-device development with engineering training and the continued use of refurbished equipment.
