Solukon previews SFM-AT850 for depowdering large metal parts
The system extends automated powder removal to heavy components, with deliveries planned for 2027.

What happened
Solukon announced SFM-AT850 in October ahead of its Formnext presentation. The system is designed to remove residual powder from large metal prints using controlled rotation and excitation.
The company specifies a component capacity of up to 1,000 kg and a standard envelope of 650 × 650 × 800 mm. An optional arm accommodates taller parts, while the AT850E variant uses ultrasonic excitation.
The announcement places ordering at Formnext 2026 and expected delivery at the end of the third quarter of 2027. It is therefore a preview of future processing capacity. For large metal installations, cleaning access and powder handling need to grow alongside the printer itself.
