Eplus3D and Toptra scale printed cooling components for AI servers

Metal powder-bed production is being used for complex liquid-cooling channels and manifolds.

What happened

Eplus3D’s October case study describes work with Toptra Laser Technology on liquid-cooling components for AI servers. Metal printing allows enclosed flow paths and integrated structures that otherwise require more machining and joining.

The company reports a first manifold delivery in August, approximately 1,000 components of monthly output and orders totaling 50,000 units. Those are different measures: the order total is not a statement that all 50,000 have been delivered.

Toptra’s reported installation includes 15 metal systems across three dedicated lines, with five additional machines purchased. The project also covers material development, finishing and quality control, underscoring that channel geometry alone does not establish reliable volume production.
