Prusa adds a 400°C hotend, with an important compatibility limit

The CORE One+/L+ upgrade expands material options, but nozzle temperature is only one part of the process.

What happened

Prusa announced its HT Hotend on October 21 alongside HighTemp build sheets and additional high-temperature filaments. The upgrade supports nozzle temperatures up to 400°C on the CORE One+/L+ platform; Prusa explicitly says it is not compatible with INDX.

The announcement includes PPS-CF, PPS-GF and PPA-CF Core offerings. Prusa also reports improved layer bonding for several existing materials at higher extrusion temperatures. Those results are manufacturer measurements, not a guarantee for every geometry or print profile.

There is a meaningful ceiling beyond the nozzle: Prusa notes that the 60°C chamber can limit more demanding polymers. Its announcement also calls for appropriate filtration and dry material handling.
