What happened

In a May development post, Peopoly founder Mark Peng described local operation as a design priority for Giga. The company says the printer does not require a forced cloud workflow to process production work.

Peopoly also stated that it would publish its Giga Klipper firmware, following its earlier Magneto X work. This was a forward-looking commitment in the announcement, rather than confirmation that the Giga release had already been completed.

For workshops, local control can make it easier to separate production equipment from external services and retain access to machine behavior. It is an operational choice, not a security certification or a guarantee against every data risk.
