PrusaSlicer’s 3.0 preview rethinks projects and printer profiles
A September preview introduces a redesigned interface and more flexible preparation for multiple printers.

What happened
Prusa released the first public preview of PrusaSlicer 3.0 on September 1. Its announcement describes a rewritten interface, a new project structure and profiles designed to represent modern multi-tool printers.
Build plates can carry separate configurations within a project, including different printer setups. Projects can also open in separate tabs within one application. Prusa describes a new plugin system, initially centered on generating project content such as calibration models.
The preview announcement identifies the plugin API as experimental and describes the community marketplace as planned for a later release. These are important distinctions: this story covers the September preview, not a claim that every announced feature has reached a stable release.
