What happened

Massivit announced a North American RapidWings service expansion with Portland-based Artek in September. The collaboration offers large-format tooling, prototyping and demonstrations for aerospace manufacturers.

The workflow uses Massivit’s Cast In Motion technology and two-component materials to produce tooling such as molds, masters, jigs and fixtures. Design and finishing services connect the printed stage with a tool ready for its intended manufacturing process.

Massivit reports substantial lead-time reductions, but those claims depend on the geometry, material and finishing required. Access through a service provider lets customers evaluate the process without first installing a complete system. The announcement concerns tooling capacity, not blanket flight certification of printed parts.
