What happened

Lithoz reported a 40% year-on-year increase in ceramic material revenue at the end of the second quarter. The figure concerns materials revenue, rather than total company revenue or printer shipments.

The company points to medical users and contract manufacturers operating groups of CeraFab systems. It also highlights demand for aluminum nitride, casting-core materials and calcium phosphates.

Consumables demand offers one view of how installed machines are being used. This company-reported measure suggests increased activity among its customers, but does not establish growth across the entire ceramic printing market.
