What happened

HORKOS and Meltio announced the NX70 DUO version AM on October 21. The hybrid machining center can alternate between adding metal and precision cutting without moving a part to a separate machine.

Meltio supplies the wire-laser deposition technology. The companies describe repair, remanufacturing, prototypes and complex components as possible applications, and report a sale to an unnamed industrial customer.

The announcement schedules a JIMTOF showing with dry-run operation and video of actual printing. That is a demonstration plan, not independent evidence of production yield or savings for a particular part.
