What happened

Eplus3D announced a partnership with Hofmann CNC in October. Hofmann invested in a dual-laser EP-M300 as it expands from precision machining into metal additive production.

The companies describe an integrated workflow in which printing creates complex geometry and CNC machining finishes surfaces that require tighter control. They are also developing an application center to support customer projects.

The announcement discusses potential work across industrial sectors, including medical applications. That exploration should not be confused with approval of a particular medical product. The practical focus is combining the strengths of printing and machining within a production route.
