EOS takes full ownership of metal powder specialist Metalpine
The acquisition strengthens EOS’s materials business, with particular attention to titanium.
What happened
EOS announced that it had acquired all of Metalpine after holding a stake for several years. The Austrian company specializes in metal powders produced using its atomization process.
EOS links the acquisition to demand for titanium additive manufacturing in aerospace, medical and other industrial applications. It plans closer integration of powders, printing parameters and process expertise.
Metalpine is to retain its brand and operate independently within EOS, continuing to serve customers across the wider additive manufacturing market. The change concerns ownership and materials supply rather than a new printer launch.
