What happened

EOS and Constellium announced a partnership covering aluminum alloys for additive manufacturing. Constellium Aheadd CP1 joins the EOS portfolio, while Al5X1 receives shared Constellium branding.

The companies describe a longer-term framework for developing additional alloys and connecting them with validated process parameters. Target applications include heat exchangers, semiconductor equipment and lightweight components.

The July announcement scheduled CP1 availability through EOS for August. Manufacturer-reported processing and thermal benefits are application dependent; the partnership itself does not qualify every possible component.
