What happened

BLT’s June case study describes full-platform production of aluminum upper-arm shells for robots. The work uses a twenty-laser BLT-S800 and a process developed for relatively thick printing layers.

In the company’s comparison, a full build falls from 119.8 hours with six lasers to 35.2 hours with twenty. The example concerns one part arrangement and process; it is not a general speed multiplier for all S800 work.

The report also emphasizes airflow, filtration and coordination between neighboring laser regions. These details matter because adding lasers only creates useful capacity when the resulting parts maintain consistent quality across the build area.
