Nextruder and automatic first layer
The MK4 uses the nozzle as a probing point through a load cell. Its removable hotend and local breakout board simplify nozzle and component replacement.
Architecture and upgrades
The 32-bit xBuddy replaces the MK3 family’s EINSY controller. The manufacturer distinguishes a full MK4 upgrade from MK3.5 and MK3.9 packages, which retain different hardware.
Published nozzle-temperature discrepancy
The MK4 launch article lists 300°C while the later MINI+ comparison table gives 290°C for MK4. The maximum is left unresolved rather than selecting one conflicting manufacturer value.
Introduced in 2023.
Announced March 29, 2023; assembled units were shipping at announcement.

Launch specifications verified. Hotend maximum omitted because later manufacturer comparison tables differ. MK4S superseded the base MK4 in 2024.
A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
