Blue-laser wire deposition

M600 uses nine direct-diode blue lasers with 1000 W total power in a controlled inert chamber. Closed-loop control modulates wire and laser input; an integrated XYZ touch probe and absolute-encoder axes support setup and monitoring.

Options and material maturity

Hot-wire preheating and sequential dual- or quad-wire switching are options. Copper and aluminum parameters are explicitly marked as under development on the current page, despite example parts elsewhere. The 100 µm positioning figure is an axis specification, not a guaranteed deposited-part tolerance.

Read this with the specifications

The current wire-materials table lists steels, titanium alloys and nickel alloys. It explicitly marks copper and aluminum parameters as under development. CuCrZr and marine-bronze examples on the same page are application demonstrations, not evidence that every copper alloy has a released parameter set.

A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
