Compact open-parameter LPBF
Alpha 140 uses a 200 W fiber laser and a spindle-driven positioning system. LMI SliceAM exposes process parameters, and the manufacturer lists steels, aluminum and nickel-based alloy examples.
Installation and omitted unit errors
The Ø140 × 200 mm cylindrical volume is separate from the external footprint. Opening the hood increases the required height to 2100 mm. The current web table has implausible wavelength and gas-pressure units; those entries are left unreported pending a corrected source.

The current product page gives the cylindrical Ø140 × 200 mm build area and repeats the 1675 × 1028 mm footprint. Its external-dimensions line has a malformed squared unit after the 1540 height; the listed L × W × H values are recorded in millimeters with this caveat. Implausible wavelength and gas-pressure units are omitted.
A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
