Hot electron-beam process
JAM-5200EBM preheats the powder bed before melting. Its standard heating specification reaches 900 °C, while a distinct high-temperature configuration reaches 1200 °C. The build range, vacuum and cathode-life figures carry a titanium-processing qualification on the manufacturer’s page.
Layer inspection and powder recovery
Backscattered-electron images are acquired after melting to inspect each layer’s surface and identify possible defects or deformation. This is process monitoring, not a general replacement for application-required inspection. The AM-22010PRS powder-recovery system is separate optional equipment.

The official maximum build-range footnote is based on Ti-6Al printing. Material-dependent capability should not be assumed identical for every alloy.
A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
