Research-oriented electron-beam system
Freemelt ONE provides programmable beam paths, powder feeding and recoater behavior for material development. Its small build tank and 70 L vacuum chamber reduce the powder needed for experiments, while exposed ports support third-party instrumentation.
Vacuum and thermal separation
A wall and shutter isolate the hot build region from the powder tank and recoater. The 6 kW source supports high-temperature research; vacuum base pressure is a chamber specification, not a guaranteed operating pressure for every experiment. A malformed pump-down entry on the current page is excluded.
Introduced in 2019.

Research platform; material process development is distinct from a prequalified production parameter set.
A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
