10 W is stored as 10,000 mW. Weight excludes build chamber and powder. Machine dimensions are omitted because overview and detailed specification sections differ in axis ordering and rounding.
Powder workflow
Fuse printers use a modular build chamber. Fuse 1 generation chambers pair with Fuse Sift; Fuse X1 uses its own generation of chamber and Fuse Sift X1. Plan extraction and powder handling equipment as part of the installation.
Reading the laser specifications
The listed laser spot is its full width at half maximum, a different measurement from layer thickness or finished-part accuracy. The machine weight excludes the build chamber and powder.
Introduced in 2017.
First announced June 5, 2017 for reservations. General availability and shipping were announced January 26, 2021; the production system followed additional development.

What changed
- Added benchtop SLS to the Formlabs range, with a removable build chamber and Surface Armor protection for parts.
Read this with the specifications
Historical base model; continued appearance in the official technical comparison is not proof of current purchase availability. Specs describe the production machine, not the early prototype. PA12 is the launch-verified material, not an exhaustive compatibility list.
A larger nominal envelope does not establish better print quality. Fit depends on the configuration, usable area, supports, and orientation.
