What happened

UltiMaker launched Factor 4 Plus in May for continuous industrial production. The company highlights manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures and spare parts made with engineering polymers and composites.

The platform combines the Cheetah motion planner, high-flow print cores and a revised gantry. UltiMaker claims speeds up to twice those of standard Factor 4, with actual gains depending on the part and material.

TRACE records process information such as extrusion behavior and chamber temperature to support quality review. That information can improve traceability, but a process report alone does not establish that a part meets every application-specific requirement.
