What happened

Studio 3e8 revealed the Mesa 1 on October 28. Its launch announcement schedules a December 1 Kickstarter campaign with pricing starting at $3,500. This is a planned crowdfunding offer, not confirmation of retail availability or deliveries.

According to the company, the slicer separates a model into metal and scaffold material supplied in sealed powder cartridges. Printing takes place in a crucible within the built-in furnace, followed by automatic sintering without transferring the part between machines.

The company says the process uses neither lasers nor binders and avoids loose-powder handling after printing. The announcement provides no independent benchmark for dimensional accuracy, finished-part properties or sustained production throughput.
