Snapmaker and Phaetus introduce a higher-flow hotend for U1

The Liber assembly uses a revised melt path and coated steel nozzle to increase material throughput.

What happened

Snapmaker and Phaetus introduced the Liber high-flow hotend for U1 in September. The replacement assembly targets users whose prints are limited by how quickly the hotend can melt filament.

Its design combines a split-flow melting structure, a seamless heatbreak and a DLC-coated hardened steel nozzle. Snapmaker reports higher volumetric flow in matched-energy tests with PLA, ABS and high-flow PETG.

Those measurements describe extrusion capacity, not an equivalent reduction in total print time. Motion limits, cooling, geometry and the selected filament still affect the result. The upgrade is most relevant when the existing melt rate is the bottleneck in a particular job.
