What happened

Qidi’s October case study follows Brazilian pastry chef Diego Lozano as he developed custom presentation pieces for his Relais Desserts induction in Lyon. Qidi supplied a MAX4 for the final two weeks of preparation.

The larger printer reduced the number of sections and seams needed for some components. Its output included ten display stands, more than 100 dessert bases and a snake-shaped master used to make a silicone mold.

Other printers also contributed to the project. The story documents printed presentation hardware and mold-making tools, rather than a machine printing the desserts themselves. Its practical focus is the time saved between digital design, assembly and finishing.
