What happened

Bambu Lab’s October case study describes OceanX using printers aboard OceanXplorer to make brackets, mounts and replacement components. The equipment supports a workshop operating far from ordinary supply chains.

Examples include water-sampling bottle mounts and a redesigned motor mount and impeller that adapted an available spare to a sampling system. The account emphasizes designing, printing and testing within the vessel’s operating schedule.

The source reports successful subsea use of selected components. Those results belong to the described designs and materials; they do not establish a general pressure rating for desktop-printed parts.
