What happened

Formlabs announced its acquisition of Wisconsin-based Micronics on July 11, 2024. The release said the founders and team would join Formlabs to advance accessible SLS printing.

Micronics had introduced its compact Micron printer through Kickstarter the previous month. Formlabs highlighted the team’s engineering approach and shared interest in making SLS available to more users.

The announcement establishes the acquisition and team integration. It should not be used by itself to promise delivery of an earlier crowdfunding product or specific future hardware.
