What happened

Formlabs announced on August 12 that former Apple hardware leader Dan Riccio was joining as a strategic advisor and making a personal investment. The company said his advice would focus on product development, design and operational scaling.

Alongside that appointment, CEO and co-founder Maxim Lobovsky became board chairman. Chief Product Officer Dávid Lakatos was named president and joined the board. Co-founder Natan Linder transitioned from chairman to an advisory role, while board member Rob Willett also increased his investment.

The announcement does not disclose an investment amount. It is a leadership and ownership update, not a printer launch or evidence of a new product’s performance.
