What happened

Carbon announced on October 21 that its platform had been used to produce more than one million cycling saddles. Its release, distributed through PR agency Incus, says 11 saddle brands use the platform, with more than 60 models in production.

The application uses printed lattices to vary support and cushioning. The release highlights Selle Italia’s Unica, made by production partner Prototek using rider pressure measurements to inform the internal structure.

These are Carbon’s reported production figures. They do not establish that every printed saddle is personalized or more comfortable for every rider.
