Open Sauce 2027
· San Mateo, CA, United States
A Bay Area festival for people who make things, with hundreds of maker projects, creator talks and an industry day.
About the event
Open Sauce is a maker and creator festival at the San Mateo County Event Center in the San Francisco Bay Area. The 2027 public festival runs July 17 and 18.
Its centerpiece is a "Mad Science Fair" of more than 500 projects, from homemade robots to backyard inventions, alongside talks from online creators, an Industry Day for the creator economy and an evening Fight Night. The site's sponsor listings have included 3D printer companies.
It is less about buying equipment and more about seeing what individuals build with printers, electronics and other tools, which makes it a good source of ideas for hobbyists.
