Azuma expands Japanese metal AM production with Eplus3D systems

Dual- and four-laser machines broaden the manufacturer’s production options beyond its earlier single-laser setup.

What happened

Eplus3D’s September update describes Azuma’s investment in an EP-M300 and EP-M400 in Japan. The installation combines a dual-laser machine with a four-laser system.

The expansion follows experience with single-laser metal printing. Additional lasers and different build capacities give the manufacturer more options for arranging production and tackling larger or more demanding jobs.

The case study places the equipment within a broader effort to scale industrial additive manufacturing. More laser power does not automatically translate into a matching increase in finished-part output: preparation, material behavior and downstream operations still determine the usable capacity.
